CTL
CTL is a lactose-modified chitosan specifically developed for biomedical applications. It was engineered by Biopolife after more than 20 years of academic researches carried out at the University of Trieste (Italy), as shown by numerous scientific papers published on peer-reviewed International Journals. Today, CTL production is based on a technology patented by Biopolife.
Dermoglucosamine®
Dermoglucosamine® is a chitosan based biopolymer functionalised with oligosaccharide branches specifically developed for cosmetics applications. Devised by Biopolife in 2019, it displays unique physical-chemical properties and tuneable features and can be employed for cosmetics formulations ranging from moisturising hydrogels to serums and body cream.
Molecular Agarobiose
Molecular Agarobiose is a naturederived viscoelastic biopolymer, based on decennial research on the agar-agar molecule and its derivatives. Developed using an innovative production technology that allows for incredibly fine control of the result and tested in collaboration with the University of Trieste.
CTX-platform: custom-made products based on chitosan
Biopolife offers a variety of custom-made biopolymers obtained through a patented technological platform. These biopolymers are obtained by combining different types of chitosan and functional molecules to obtain products with tuneable features and address specific markets. Moreover, Biopolife produces a water-soluble antimicrobial biopolymer with wide-spectrum activity based on chitosan in combination with a highly effective non-cytotoxic form of silver.
